she strikes the cosmic drum of forgetting,

breaking the illusion of permanence with each note.

Kālī, the devourer of time,

the sacred darkness that births light,

the untamed pulse in every woman who remembers

that destruction can also be devotion.

Each finger on this instrument —

a mantra,

a wound,

a liberation.

She does not perform.

She summons.

She does not entertain.

She awakens.
